Kitchen Remodeling in Tumwater, WA

The Room That Sells Houses & Makes Daily Life Better

A kitchen remodel is one of the most disruptive projects you can take on in your own home—and one of the most rewarding when it’s done well. Whether you’re updating cabinets and countertops or knocking out a wall to open up the whole floor plan, a kitchen remodel in Tumwater means working around the realities of your specific house: its age, electrical wiring, layout, and plumbing infrastructure.

Capitol Custom Construction manages the full scope from initial 3D design through final punch list walkthrough, so you’re never stuck coordinating five different subcontractors yourself.

What’s Different About Remodeling a Kitchen in Tumwater?

A large portion of Tumwater’s residential housing stock dates from the mid-century era through 1980s subdivisions. Homes in this bracket often feature electrical panels and plumbing that were adequate when built but fall short of modern appliance loads. Running an induction range, high-CFM hood, dishwasher, and microwave drawer off original wiring is a common surprise mid-project.

We audit your electrical panel capacity and existing plumbing runs during our initial design consultation—so necessary upgrades are accounted for upfront rather than as mid-project surprise change orders. Furthermore, if you plan to remove a wall for an open-concept flow, our team evaluates its load-bearing status and engineers the required support beams with City of Tumwater plan approval.
